Just imagine when Tyrus Thomas reaches his full potential! You just got served a piece of lefty jam pie Denver.
After years of saber-rattling from the Bulls about trading Tyrus Thomas. Chicago has finally done the deed, shipping Thomas to the Charlotte Bobcats for two players in return according to the Chicago Tribune.
League sources confirmed that the Bulls will send Thomas to Charlotte for Acie Law, Ronald Murray and a protected future first-round draft choice, pending league approval.
I’m sure the word “potential” will follow Thomas to Charlotte and paired with Tyson Chandler in the Bobcats front court, Daniel Day Lewis and I believe that “There Will Be Shots Blocked”.
Chicago Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas broke his left forearm during a weight training session at practice Friday and will have surgery Saturday. He could miss four to six weeks.
In four games this season, the fourth-year player from LSU is averaging eight points and five rebounds in 21 minutes. Thomas, who had been battling the flu, played only 12 minutes in Chicago’s victory at Cleveland on Thursday.
X-rays confirmed the injury Friday. Team physicians Dr. Brian Cole and Dr. John Fernandez, assisted by Dr. Mark Cohen, will perform the surgery. With Thomas out, rookie Taj Gibson is expected to take over as a starter.
Another major multi-team trade might be looming in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers,Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls having discussed a deal that would be headlined by Carlos Boozer and Kirk Hinrich, according to NBA front-office sources.
Sources stressed to ESPN.com that no deal was imminent Thursday and that both Portland and Utah are still evaluating additional trade scenarios. But two sources with knowledge of the three-team proposal confirmed that there have been substantive talks aimed at landing Boozer in Chicago, Hinrich in Portland and Tyrus Thomas in Utah.
Suns GM Steve Kerr will, be dismantling the Phoenix Suns in the very near future (or at least he better be). And the name that has popped up the most in trade talk is Amare Stoudemire.Â
According to league sources, the Bulls are one of several teams engaged in discussions about Amare Stoudemire. AnyBulls package would include the expiring $7.1 million contract of Drew Gooden. Two league sources said the Suns also are most intrigued by forward Tyrus Thomas, and his play on the recent trip explains why. Thomas averaged 14.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.85 blocks with five double-doubles and missed a sixth by one rebound. He even served as one of theBulls’ primary offensive options down the stretch in Dallas, getting more touches than Luol Deng.
The Suns have found out the hard way, that change for the sake of change isn’t always a good thing. The minute Marion was on the move it was over for the Suns and now they might as well fully commit to the Steve Kerr idea of the Phoenix Suns.
As boring as that might end up looking.

Tyrus Thomas is listed as day-to-day, (like me and you) after he suffered a concussion Wednesday. As a result, Thomas will not be in the Bulls line up against the Boston Celtics Friday.
“Thomas suffered from concussion-like symptoms during Wednesday’s 115-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. He was evaluated by the Bulls’ team physicians and was seen at Rush University Medical Center after the game for precautionary tests.”
