Top 5: David Robinson Moments

Hooped Up | September 14, 2009

If you said David Robinson is a good dude, you would be 100% right. If you said David Robinson was a team player, you would be 110% right. Of course math nerds from all universe will now e-mail me and tell me that “nobody can be 110% right”, but they haven’t seen “The Admiral” play to see that impossible human effort math equal out.

For a guy that never really played basketball until his senior year in high school because getting an education was his first priority. Robinson blossomed into a Hall of Famer racking up 20,790 points, 10,497 rebounds, 2,954 blocks one MVP trophy and two NBA Championships.

Oh and by the way math guy, David Robinson graduated with a major in Mathematics. So e-mail him about my 110% theory and he’ll explain it to you.

After the jump, the Top 5 moments that defined the career of David Robinson.

Top 5: Basketball Artists In The Business

Hooped Up | July 1, 2009

For me when somebody says the beautiful game, I think of basketball first. It’s a game of constant motion and unique characters from every part of the world, and ten different things are going on all at once for 24 seconds at a time until the final buzzer sounds. The people that capture these moments with a camera, paint brush or pencil to me are  just as important as the refs, coaches and fans that give a NBA game life.

For me their are five artist that capture the NBA game and players exceptionally well and are the best basketball artist in the business.

Find out who and see some of their amazing work after the jump.

Top 5: Plays Of The NBA Finals

Hooped Up | June 16, 2009

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

Oh sweetest NBA basketball, it’ll be hard to accept that the season is over and basketball action is dead for a few months. And let’s not count the summer league and pre-season weeks, because that’s not basketball it’s punishment. However, I will accept free tickets to either (reluctantly).

Anyway, here are the top 5 plays of the NBA finals and you’ll notice how every single top 5 play was in the Amway Arena and only one of the five clips was an Orlando Magic highlight. Kinda sums up the whole series, don’t it.
