Rodney Stuckey Says “He’s Good”

Hooped Up | March 9, 2010

Rodney Stuckey was at Pistons practice Tuesday, looking and feeling healthy, but did not participate.

Stuckey collapsed Friday in the third quarter of their game at Cleveland said numerous tests have been done on his heart, his blood, and everything has come back negative.

“I’m good, everything is good,” said Stuckey, who is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Utah. “They ran a lot of tests on me and everything came back good. I’m just taking it day by day.”

Stuckey doesn’t know when he’ll return to action as he awaits team doctors to make that decision.

Stuckey In Stable Condition

Hooped Up | March 6, 2010

Pistons Rodney Stuckey collapsed during a time-out at 2:30 of the third quarter of the Pistons’ 99-92 loss to the Cavaliers, after complaining of dizziness.

After coming to the bench with Jonas Jerebko, Stuckey appeared fine after sitting, but then he summoned strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander before he slumped into Kander’s arms and appeared to be having a seizure.

Medical personnel attended to Stuckey before he was wheeled off on a stretcher wearing an oxygen mask.

“Our thoughts were with him,” said Jerebko. “It’s never fun when a teammate goes down like that. I’ve never seen it before.”My mind came out of the game, of course. I don’t know if it changed the outcome but, of course, my thoughts were with him.”

Pistons officials now say Stuckey is conscious and is in stable condition at the Cleveland Clinic, where he was taken to immediately from Quicken Loans Arena and remained overnight for observation.

Celts Offer Rondo And Allen To Pistons

Hooped Up | June 24, 2009

The Boston Celtics appear willing to make major roster changes to balance a chance for a championship run and future financial flexibility. The Celtics offered Ray Allen andRajon Rondo to the Detroit Pistons for a package that includedRichard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Boston general manager Danny Ainge and Detroit’s Joe Dumars never spoke, but rather the Celtics had a lower-level executive make the pitch to aPistons official over the past weekend, league sources said. Detroit immediately rejected the idea, and it never advanced to the two top executives speaking about particulars. This isn’t an uncommon occurrence for a GM like Ainge to dispatch an underling to make that kind of a call, if for no other reason to give the top executive some level of deniability that he’s shopping his stars.

Shaq Ejected For Stuckey Foul

Hooped Up | November 17, 2008

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

In the last three games the Suns have played, their has been a total of three Suns ejected.  The latest one came last night in the contest between the Phoenix and Detroit, when referees sent Shaquille O’Neal packing after what was deemed a flagrant-2 foul on Rodney Stuckey. To me it looks like Shaq is playing the ball but misjudged Stuckeys angle of approach but Shaq’s explanation is way better as he had this to say “If you understand physics like I do, anytime that you come in there out of control like that and run into a brick wall, you are going to get that effect.”

Shaq just dropped Stuckey and science!

Stuckey Leaves Game With Dizziness

Hooped Up | November 10, 2008

Perhaps still on a trade high of Allen Iverson coming into town; second-year guard Rodney Stuckey did not return after halftime against the Boston Celtics because he was dizzy as a rascal, according to the The Flint Journal.

Stuckey walked off at the end of the half woozy and almost needed help to make it back to the Pistons locker room. However after some medical attention, Stuckey was able to make it to the locker room under his own power. Stuckey is questionable, to play against Sacramento Monday thus far.

Let’s hope he’s okay!
