Rashard Lewis Tells SVG Hell Naw

Hooped Up | December 11, 2009

Controversy brewed during the Orlando Magic’s 120-111 loss to the Utah Jazz on Thursday night when power forward Rashard Lewis said he declined to go back in the game during the second quarter. Coach Stan Van Gundy was upset and said he had never had a player overrule him. “(Lewis) didn’t want to go back in. I wanted to put him back in with six minutes to go in the second quarter and he didn’t want to go back in,” Van Gundy said after the Magic (17-5) had their six-game winning streak broken. “He said it was because he had two fouls, and so if you have a guy who doesn’t want to play, I’m not going to get in an argument and put him back in if he doesn’t want to play at that time.

Make Rashard Lewis An All-Star Fool!

Hooped Up | December 3, 2009

With marketing like this, how can you not vote for Rashard Lewis to be an all-star this season. If you don’t, I have a prediction — pain.

Orlando Magic ‘09-10 Season Preview

Hooped Up | October 20, 2009

Another van glorious season of NBA basketball is about to begin and Hooped Up does a quick and dirty preview of all 30 clubs.

The Orlando Magic made it to the top of the NBA mountain last season and in the end, they lost to a much better Los Angeles Lakers club. This year, they’ll attempt the same ascent with Vince Carter, but will that be enough for them to get past the vastly improved Celtics and Cavs this time around in the east. Read More »

Together Andre Iguodala a.k.a Chief Blocka, Mo Williams a.k.a Fog Raw, Kevin Durant a.k.a Velvet Hoop and Rashard Lewis aka Ice-O are the Hyperizers and they just dropped a new single off their Midnight Drive album called  ”Don’t Criticize (Hyperize)” on Footlocker Records.

Don’t worry, I’ve thoroughly checked out all the ingredients to this video with the league and it’s certified clean and Hella Fun!

Lewis Test Positive For Banned Substance

Hooped Up | August 7, 2009

Orlando Magic all-star forward Rashard Lewis violated the NBA’s anti-drug program by testing positive for an elevated testosterone level and will be suspended for the first 10 games of the 2009-10 regular season, the league announced Thursday.

Lewis told the Orlando Sentinel that he purchased a powdered supplement that contained a substance commonly known as DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) from a nutritional supplement store. Lewis, whose suspension was first reported on OrlandoSentinel.com, said he mixed the powder into smoothies that he drank.

Mo Can Rock The Hell Out Of A Jeri Curl

Hooped Up | July 23, 2009

Playoff foes, now Hyperize teammates Mo Williams and Rashard Lewis, along with a few other players such as Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala are shooting what appears to be a kick @ss Nike commercial that includes, DJ Quick, rope chains, ATV’s, leather medallions and Jeri curls.

This commercial is gonna be viral good I’m guessing, unless one of the extras dunk on one of these guys and Nike scraps the whole production.

WAG’s: Rihanna Crushing On Rashard Lewis?

Hooped Up | June 16, 2009

According to reports, Rihanna is all over Rashard Lewis like the Lakers defence was on Dwight Howard during the finals.

In Game 4 of the series Rhianna showed up to watch Lewis play at the behest of Magic forward Rashard Lewis, whom she’s currently crushing on. Says a pal of the singer, “Rihanna is trying to get to know Rashard. She’s digging on him, and she hopes the feeling is mutual.”

Of course, back in February Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown who also attended game 4, was charged for allegedly assaulting Rihanna and the former couple and their lawyers, are due in court to discuss the matter further after Rihanna was subpoenaed days ago to testify in court.

A) I hope Rashard Lewis and Rihanna hook up so I have an excuse to post more Rhianna pics and B) I hope the courts throw a hardcover Triangle Offense playbook autographed by Tex Winters at Chris Brown and then Rashard Lewis dunks on him.

Innocent until proven guilty my sweet basketball lovin’ @ss!

The Magic Are Finals Bound

Hooped Up | June 1, 2009

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

The NBA, where being underrated happens. Who would have thought that after 6 games in the eastern conference finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers would be the team hopping on a plane to watch the NBA finals from home. After just a few games into the 08-09 season, I was more than positive that a Cavs versus Lakers finals would be happening and all of a sudden the Magic stole the show. Don’t get me wrong, the Orlando Magic straight won the eastern conference crown and the Cavaliers didn’t hand them anything, but it’s still a shocker.

The Cavs never looked like a team on the brink of elimination in game 6 and they showed zero desperation. Sure they played hard, but not back against the wall hard. Anyway, Dwight Howard has officially arrived and the a very long off season for LeBron James begins.

Congrats Magic!

The Magic Are Pretty Good

Hooped Up | May 27, 2009

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

The Orlando Magic are making a sans Cavaliers NBA finals a very realistic possibility. Again last night, the Cavs were out muscled, hustled and all game they looked beat. Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu and Dwight Howard have been match up nightmares for Mike Brown and Stan Van Jeremy is beginning to look like a play calling genius — and Ron Jeremy.

This play SVG called to get Rashard Lewis a clean look at  three with 4.1 seconds was beyond perfect. Game 5 happens tomorrow, hopefully the Cavs show up so we can see a game 7.

NBA All-Star Reserves Revealed

Hooped Up | January 29, 2009

The NBA 08-09 All-Star rosters have been officially revealed and I can’t help to notice that a certain Canadian is missing from the All-Star proceedings and I say BOOO NBA, BOOO!!! I am however liking the Shaquille O’Neal and Chris Bosh selection though.

Either way, the All-Star game should be a video game style affair none the less as per usual.

Below are your East and West reserves.

West Conference Reserves
Shaquille O’Neal, Pau Gasol, David West, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker, Chauncey Billups and Brandon Roy.

Eastern Conference Reserves
Jameer Nelson ,Rashard Lewis, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson, Chris Bosh, Devin Harris and Danny Granger.
