Dwyane Wade Kicks Ramon Sessions In The Balls

Hooped Up | December 27, 2012

Yup. Ramon Sessions fouls Dwyane Wade and gets kicked in his genteman area. That is all.

UPDATE: Dwyane Wade has been suspended one game without pay for flailing his leg and making contact with the groin of the Charlotte Bobcats’ Ramon Sessions, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

Wade will serve his suspension when the Heat play the Detroit Pistons on December 28 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Lakers Aquire Ramon Sessions

Hooped Up | March 15, 2012

The Los Angeles Lakers have reached a deal to trade for point guard Ramon Sessions from the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to league sources.

The Lakers will send the Cavs their 2012 first-round pick and will also get the rights to swap picks next year with the Miami Heat’s first round draft pick, which the Cavs’ own. The Lakers will absorb Sessions with the $8.9 million trade exception they received from the Dallas Mavericks for Lamar Odom.

Sessions Signs With Minnesota

Hooped Up | September 4, 2009

Break out the champagne! Ramon Sessions has agreed to a four-year, $16-million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. No, I’m not a T-Wolves fan, but I I’m not a repetitive news fans fan either.

The Milwaukee Bucks have a week to match the offer sheet but are not expected to, bringing closure to Session’s summer-long wait. His name was mostly linked with the New York Knicks and the Clippers.

The Clippers had sought Sessions for a backup role behind point guard Baron Davis, but their interest had tempered after acquiring Sebastian Telfair in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves and because Sessions wanted a starting position. Sessions was seeking the $5.8-million mid-level exception.

The Minnesota Timberwolves GM are obsessed with PG’s and Ramon Sessions should spoil Jonny Flynn’s hopes of starting. That’s unless the T-Wolves plan on starting five point guards, and don’t put it pass them.

Knick Negotiation Sessions Over?

Hooped Up | August 26, 2009

A few weeks back, Ramon Sessions was the front-runner for the Knicks PG spot ahead of Hall Of Fame bound Allen Iverson and veteran floor leader Jason Williams. Now, Williams has since signed with the defending eastern conference champion Orlando Magic, Allen Iverson is rumoured to be either signing with the Charlotte Bobcats or Memphis Grizzlies and the Knicks are cooling on signing Sessions.

This news makes me think that Scott Layden has been hired as a consultant to Donnie Walsh. Are you kidding me? Read More »

Knicks Still Interested In Sessions

Hooped Up | August 25, 2009

The situations with restricted free agents David Lee and Nate Robinson remain in limbo and the pursuit of a backcourt upgrade has yet to produce anything more than blog fodder and twitter tantrums.

The situations with restricted free agents David Lee and Nate Robinson remain in limbo and the pursuit of a backcourt upgrade has yet to produce anything more than blog fodder and twitter tantrums. The notion that is starting to float around cyberspace that suggests the Knicks are no longer in pursuit of Ramon Sessions is completely false. A person with intimate knowledge of the situation — yes, intimate…you know, the kind of source that buys the situation a drink, cozies up nicely and even leaves a rose on the pillow — says that Donnie Walsh still has the unsigned Sessions high on the priority list.

Sessions Close To A Deal With NY

Hooped Up | August 3, 2009

The Knicks’ tango with Ramon Sessions could wrap up tomorrow, according to his agent. The Clippers, who waived guard Mike Taylor, are the other team involved, but the Knicks appear to be the frontrunners because they are able to offer Sessions a starting role. In a nutshell, Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni is lobbying to sign Sessions, 23, but team president Donnie Walsh is concerned a long-term deal starting at the mid-level exception of $5.8 million will compromise the Knicks’ 2010 salary cap space, even though free-agent forward David Lee could be headed for a one-year pact.

Will The Grizzlies Deal Conley?

Hooped Up | January 12, 2009

The Memphis Grizzlies have struggled mightily at the point guard spot all season long and the trade winds could come a blowin’.

“The latest rumor to surface is the Bucks possibly trading backup point guard Ramon Sessions and forward Joe Alexander, who was the eighth overall selection in last June’s NBA draft, to the Memphis Grizzlies. In return, the Bucks would obtain point guard Michael Conley Jr., who was the No. 4 overall selection in the 2007 draft.”
