PJ Brown finally made it official and retired from basketball while you were booze shopping on December 31, 2008.  Brown played 15 seasons in the NBA and averaged 9.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 1 bpg over 1089 games and had a solid pro career. Over his career, Brown laced them up for the New Jersey Nets, Miami Heat, Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets, Chicago Bulls and was a big part of the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics team. Brown had this to say about going out on top to the Boston Globe;

“My career ended June 17,” Brown said of the day he became a world champion when the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2008 NBA title.

A classy ending for a classy guy indeed!
