To nobody’s surprise, the Lakers handed the Nets their 17th straight loss in convincing fashion (106-87) because much like Ice Cube. L.A. wanted Jersey to know, they ain’t the one and somebody else would have to help them snap their streak of futility.
Already down by 15 heading into the 2nd quarter, Rafer Alston thought surely the Lakers would let a lay up slide, but Jordan Farmar grew up in Los Angeles and he must have a stack of N.W.A albums.
