Hooped Up

To nobody’s surprise, the Lakers handed the Nets their 17th straight loss in convincing fashion (106-87) because much like Ice Cube. L.A. wanted Jersey to know, they ain’t the one and somebody else would have to help them snap their streak of futility.

Already down by 15 heading into the 2nd quarter, Rafer Alston thought surely the Lakers would let a lay up slide, but Jordan Farmar grew up in Los Angeles and he must have a stack of N.W.A albums.

Although TMZ.com, in between hanging out in front of Mr.Chow promised to unveil the LeBron James getting dunked on by Jordan Crawford footage first. They were digitally scooped by ebaumnation.com who also had a better copy of said dunk.

After watching this video that was more over hyped than free trade, I gotta say I’m pretty Disappointed (notice the capital D). I thought this dunk was going to be so nasty that LeBron James would be seeking grief counselling, but it wasn’t even close to that. A few second before the play happens, James has his hands on his hips thinking about his 2010 riches before he slides over late to provide some “help side” defense to some defender on his team that was on skates. It was a normal basketball play, nothing more.

If I was Jordan Crawford I’d be turbo disappointed that this video surfaced because now he goes back to just being the brother of Jamal Crawford.

That being said, LeBron James did get served proper, but the 15 minutes of fame Jordan Crawford had appears to be up.

Today at 6:45PM EST, TMZ will show the dunk that LeBron James and Nike did not want you to see. Then at some point they will show a celebrity coming out of Mr.Chow.

The video we’ll see was taken on a cell phone so when you see it, LeBron James will be the really pixelated dude that doesn’t jump high enough to block Jordan Crawford, who will be the pixelated figure high in the air.

Let this be a lesson to you Nike, you can’t stop the YouTube generation. It’s like trying to stop Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at a Skyhook Convention!

Impossible.

Unless you’ve been living rent free under a rock with no access to illegal solar powered cable. You have already heard the tale of Jordan Crawford and his dunk on LeBron James that sprung Nike executives into action to block the footage from seeing the light of day. Supposedly this dunk was as good as everybody is hyping it up to be and the fact that LeBron James hasn’t even commented on it yet, makes it seem like it was the unicorn of dunks.

If I was Jordan Crawford I would be happy if this dunk never gets out. As long as it remains a secret, it will remain relevant and that can’t hurt the Jordan Crawford legend. This dunking tale is right up there with those old school cats that could grab quarters of the top of the backboard and drop 70 points in a half at Rucker Park.

Plus lets be honest, you never even knew Jamal Crawford had a brother that played ball until this story dropped anyway.
