Swat: Grant Hill Tells Outlaw Hell Naw

Hooped Up | March 4, 2010

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

When I watch Grant Hill make plays like this, it makes me want to buy Fila’s, drink a Sprite and listen to that new album Illmatic by some kid named Nas.

Hill was in rare for on this defensive position, turning back the clock to make Travis Outlaw look  like Travis Barker going to the glass. Keep the ‘94 party rolling Mr. Hill.

Phoenix Suns ‘09-10 Season Preview

Hooped Up | October 30, 2009

Another van glorious season of NBA basketball is about to begin and Hooped Up does a quick and dirty preview of all 30 clubs.

Last season the Suns took a chance and made a deal to get Shaq and it failed — epically. So they got rid of him and got back to being a lean, mean running machine. Read More »

Grant Hill Is Staying Put

Hooped Up | July 10, 2009

Grant Hill is staying with the Phoenix Suns.

His agent, Lon Babby, said on Friday that Hill decided to remain in Phoenix rather than sign with the Boston Celtics or New York Knicks.

Babby said during a conference call that the deal is for two years, the second at Hill’s option, and he will be paid $3 million in the first year. Hill has played the last two years for the Suns and averaged 12 points in 2008-09 while playing in all 82 games for the first time in his 14-year career.

Hill’s decision was previously reported by Yahoo Sports.

Grant Hill Is Serious About Knicks

Hooped Up | July 7, 2009

I really can’t recall a free agent class that had so many guys over the age of 35 in demand like this one. Enter Grant Hill and the Knicks in discussion.

Hill, who on Sunday met with Doc Rivers in Orlando about joining the Celtics, said he is “very serious” about the Knicks. “I’ve always been a fan of the Knicks and the city,” Hill told reporters during his visit at the Garden Monday. “Obviously, they’ve gone through a lot the last few years, but I’m a big fan of Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni, so I’m definitely interested. I’m just taking it all in.”

Grant Hill, will be 37 this year when the season opens he and played for D’Antoni in Phoenix during the 2007-08 season, but if the Knicks offer him anything over a one year contract have a pair of Bad Idea Jeans shipped to Donnie Walsh asap. He looks like a 38 x 40.

Allen Iverson Passes Well

This season the Iverson highlight package is a little lower than usual, but this amazing bounce pass he makes to a streaking Rip Hamilton for a lay up. Is proof that good things take time.

Like a delicious pizza!

Blow Up The Suns Already

Hooped Up | January 26, 2009

Get sucked in to the fact that the Suns are no curious case of Benjamin Button and this squad will have to be blown up at some point. Why not now? Terry Porter isn’t Mike D’Antoni either and in the long run that might be a good thing! A deep playoff run only happens with great defence and that’s what Terry Porter brings to the table but, this won’t happen with the Mike D’Antoni cast.

So since nobody wants to say it, I will. The main reason every player loves to play for D’Antoni is because in his system, playing defence is an asset like being bilingual or knowing Excel at Costco. Read More »

Re-Introducing The Phoenix Suns

Hooped Up | December 24, 2008

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

The Phoenix Suns have made a lot of changes in the last little bit,  so they thought they would re-introduce themselves. In the process of making this video they sure used a lot of glasses, wigs and lab coats but, the After  Effects fire breathing Goran Dragic is indeed a nice touch! Then again, this could be an inside joke regarding his breathe beacuse as we all know, it’s hard out there for a rookie.

Now we shop!

Phoenix Suns: Southwest Airlines Trading Places

Hooped Up | December 17, 2008

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

Each year The Suns headed out to Sky Harbor International Airport to trade places with Southwest Airlines employees for the annual Trading Places event. So tomorrow night against the Blazers, Jimmy from Baggage will be coming of the bench for some minutes at small forward, Janice the Stewardess will see minutes at Center and Air Traffic Controller Ted will coach the Suns.

I can only use their first name because due to legal reasons and also because theses are the first names that came to mind to B.S. you with.
