No Takers For Randolph

Hooped Up | September 22, 2008

It looks like the Knicks are stuck with Randolph for the time being, which is funny because they should have never traded for him in the first place.  Only because the had a double-double power forward already on the roster in David Lee.

It looks like is going to be another interesting year for the Knicks.

“Knicks president Donnie Walsh was most recently engaged in talks with the Memphis Grizzlies, but multiple sources told Newsday that the Grizzlies have since reconsidered and decided to pass on Randolph. Walsh is still looking to find ways to shed Randolph’s hefty contract, which has three years and $48 million left on it, but for now it appears that the 6-9 forward likely will remain a Knick when training camp opens in 11 days.”

Foye and Pinckney joined Turkish natives Mehmet Okur and Hedo Turkoglu, in addition to Bruce Bowen, David Lee and Mickael Pietrus to participate in NBA Cares events throughout Istanbul. NBA.com kept track of several days of events, which we’ll include below:

What’s Up With Q And Lee?

Hooped Up | March 27, 2007

The reclusive Quentin Richardson and David Lee have something in common with Jamal Crawford. There’s no assurance either will return this season. Richardson avoided reporters for a seventh straight day, sitting out last night again, raising speculation he’s finished. During practice and shootaround at their Westchester compound, he has hidden in the locker room, supposedly getting treatment. Last night, Richardson again was requested by the press and declined to come out, spending the availability session hiding in the trainer’s room. It his aberrant behavior for a player normally very accessible.”
