Hooped Up

Heading into the NBA Finals, Ray Allen was given four new pairs of Air Jordan XX8 kicks to play in on the biggest stage. It looks like they broke it down into two home and two away colorways. Each pair is ripe with gold accents, playing off of red, black and white sleeves. I’m not sure if I’m crazy about these but, if Ray Allen picks up his performance. I’m sure we’ll all think they’re cop worthy. Or not.

Still not sure about the Air Jordan XX8? Well grumpy, maybe the Air Jordan XX8 ”Carbon Fiber” colorway dropping this weekend will change your mind. Featuring (you guessed it) a carbon fiber patterned outer sleeve with an infrared collar, tongue and sleeve. Not bad, huh?

In a few weeks, the 12th annual Jordan Brand Classic goes down at the Barclays Center. Which will showcase some of the brightest high school talent on the planet. Of course, as the name of the event would suggest. All the athletes participating will be draped in Jordan Brand gear that was unveiled today.

The East squad will were black uniforms with gold trim and the West side will wear red uniforms with gold trim. Both sides will wear variations of the Air Jordan XX8, tailored to their sides respective colorway. Oh yeah, if you’re lucky enough to get tickets for this event. You will also get a chance to see Drake perform once it’s over. Not a bad deal at all.

This season the Michael Jordan Motorsports team will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in road racing. To celebrate this significant milestone, the MJM team will be debuting all-new Suzuki bikes inspired by the Air Jordan XX8 colorway. Which will race at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL. Each bike from MJM is painted to simulate the “Blue Camo” shroud of the Air Jordan XX8 which Russell Westbrook wore on Christmas Day.
