When your an NBA shot blocker, sometimes you win some and some times you lose some. Emeka Okafor made sure Chris Andersen lost this time.

All five Miami Heat players were watching Vince Carter, and as he dribbled toward the lane no one was within 15 feet of Rashard Lewis. Big mistake. And the Orlando Magic’s postseason push kept rolling along.
Lewis took the pass in his favorite spot near the left corner, then made the clinching three-pointer with 28.4 seconds left as the Magic recovered from wasting a 12-point lead in the final 4:45 of regulation and beat the Heat 108-102 in overtime Thursday night. The Magic won for the 10th time in 11 games, improved to 9-8 on the second night of back-to-backs and stretched their lead atop the Southeast Division to 4½ games over Atlanta.

The Miami Heat take serious pride in their game intros at American Airlines Arena and they kicked up the “Heat” a notch for their Noche Latina games.
Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced Thursday that the team has signed swingman Alonzo Gee to a second 10-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not announced.
“He’s been good. We have to play him some more, who knows, he might start tomorrow, I don’t know,” Saunders said. “We’ve got to play him. He’s playing hard, he creates and he competes.”
Gee originally signed with Washington on March 7. In five games for the Wizards, Gee has averaged 7.6 points (.609 fg%) and 4.2 assists in 13.2 minutes per game.

WNBA star Candace Parker who is the wife of Shelden Williams and sister of Anthony Parker talks about why she is anti-fur and her love of animals in an exclusive interview with PETA. It’s pretty crazy what some folks will do to look like a forest animal.
Word that Wilson Chandler could miss the rest of the season is hardly reason to panic for Knicks fans or Mike D’Antoni who is kinda — meh about the prospects of Chandler being shut down for what’s left of the ‘09-10 season.
“If it’s the rest of the year, it’s the rest of the year,” D’Antoni said, “It’s kind of tough sometimes because a lot of people don’t know,” Chandler said of playing through his injury, which he said he first suffered two months ago.
“For the most part, I’m just going to do whatever I can do to help the team win.”
Chandler has been one of the few bright spots in the Knicks terrible season and figures to be apart of the grand Knicks plan for the ‘10-11 season.

Designed by Hing Yueng, Volkswagen will release a limited edition shoe along with its VW Polo model called the Polo 444 .
Inspired by the vehicles interior and named after the car’s metric length. The shoe has a black leather upper, white midsole and yellow outsole. Unless you live in Europe or your Dirk Nowitzki , you’ll have a tough time trying to get your hands on these joints as only 50 pairs of the Polo 444’s will be available for sneakerhead lovin’ consumption at select Volkswagen dealerships throughout Europe.

I didn’t get “The Memo” until today, that with help from Bulls announcer Stacey King and Derrick Rose the NBA defense song was remixed. I got a strange feeling that Goran Dragic is ignoring this memo — repeatedly.
Peep the original defense song after the jump.
The Bulls are currently without the services of Loul Deng, Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah leading Chicago to an eight-game losing streak got more bad news as Deng expected back Saturday, suffered a setback to keep him out even longer.
Luol Deng experienced more soreness in his strained right calf Wednesday after running both Tuesday and pregame Wednesday. Deng, who will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday, was noticeably limping in the Bulls’ locker room.
“I’m still having trouble pushing off on it,” Deng said.
Of course, this is wonderful news for the Toronto Raptors who decided to try winning for a change last nigh, to stay ahead of the wounded Bulls. The race to lose to Cleveland in the first round is gonna be close.
