Kobe And Vanessa Bryant On Vacation
Hooped Up |
What do you do if your legend status is ruined by the Celtics in the NBA Finals and Shaquille O’Neal disses you on the mic at some club nobody cares about? Go to Mexico until things blow over like Otto Mann and get some sun.
Oh…and watch Vanessa in a bikini all weekend. Sometimes even when you lose you win.
Kobe vs Jordan - What’s The Difference?
Hooped Up | June 26, 2008Shaq Attacks Kobe: You Ruined My Marriage!
Hooped Up | June 24, 2008
I guess old beefs die hard. Shaquille O’Neal had a few choice words for ex-Laker team mate Kobe Bryant in freestyle form at a NYC night club. The “Kobe tell me how my ass taste” line is wack as hell but, as long as Kazaam 2 doesn’t surface, corny Kobe dis tracks are alright by me.
Oh ya, the Vasectomy bit…way to much information Shaq.

Odom For Marion?
Hooped Up | June 22, 2008
As the Lakers look to make some changed to keep Kobe happy get back to the NBA Finals, could Shawn Marion be an option in LA?
Miami’s Shawn Marion would address some of those defensive concerns. He might also be a better fit than Odom when the Lakers start Bynum at center and Pau Gasol at power forward. While their contracts don’t exactly match up (Marion makes $17 million next season and Odom is at $14.6 mil), a package deal involving those two players might work. They’re both entering the final season of their contracts.

Vlady’s Up, Lamar’s Down
Hooped Up | June 19, 2008
After a sub par playoff performance, Lamar Odom might be back on the block again. Will Vladimir Radmonovic be a better fit starting with Andrew Bynum back is the question.
The issue now is making the pieces fit with one problem position, small forward . . . where Odom would have to go with Bynum at center and Gasol at power forward.
Jackson wants a shooter there badly enough to start his favorite Martian, Vladimir Radmanovic. The weakest part of Odom’s game is shooting, a problem that came home to roost with Garnett backing off him.
Then there’s Odom’s $14-million salary, as the Lakers assume as much as $90 million in additional salary and luxury tax over the next three seasons with Gasol.
However, from the day they made the trade, the Lakers never thought they would end up paying that much, suggesting they were already thinking of moving Odom.
Wrath Of Kobe
Hooped Up |
Will the Lakers be facing the wrath of Kobe this offseason again, or will he rally with the Lakers to make it back to the NBA Finals?
Kobe Bryant was short on explanations, saying “I don’t know” a half-dozen times. His jaw was tight, his words stark (some unprintable) and his discontent palpable. In another context, it might have sent the Lakers into crisis mode all over again. But this was not May 2007, and this was not the same Bryant who spent last summer pining for a new team. Even with the sting of losing the title still fresh, Bryant hit a number of positive notes before walking briskly out of TD Banknorth Garden.
If the Lakers can get Kobe some good help, and an experienced bench Kobe will be out for blood next year.
