Dirk Nowitzki joined a very exclusive club in the Mavericks blowout win over the Sixers. Notching his 29,000th career point to join Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain as the only other players to ever accomplished the feat.
“It means you’ve been around for a long, long time and you’ve put in a few baskets here and there,” Nowitzki said. “I’ve been fortunate to be with this franchise for so long and stay injury free for the most part.”
