In the David vs Goliath Skills Challenge finals, Karl-Anthony Towns beat Isaiah Thomas. The Minnesota Timberwolves rookie was the first forward and tallest competitor to win the event originally created during the 2002-2003 season.
“I like proving people wrong, so I’m glad I was able to make a lot of people wrong,” Towns said. “I was able to make critics wrong, Vegas wrong, Ricky Rubio wrong. So I’m just so ecstatic right now.”
