Russell Westbrook Beats the Buzzer Off Someones Back

Russell Westbrook created a new way to inbound the ball when he threw the ball off Rodney Hood’s back to beat the halftime buzzer. If anybody would be brash and creative enough to pull off a play like that, it’s Westbrook.

“That was unreal,” Kevin Durant said. “Only Russ would make some play like that.”

Said Westbrook: “[Durant has] made a lot more crazy shots than I have. I was just trying to get a shot up and kind of read the situation.”

“Russell created an underneath out of bounds play to close the half,” Donovan said. “Gave us some momentum going to the locker room and I thought to start that third quarter we were a different team than we were to start the game.”
