Michael Jordan 1985 Rookie of the Year Speech

30 years ago today 3rd overall pick in the 1984 draft Michael Jordan from the University of North Carolina signed his first NBA contract as a rookie with the Chicago Bulls. As you already know, things turned out pretty good for MJ in his inaugural season which led to him beating out Hakeem Olajuwon to win the Rookie of the Year award in 1985. Up until today I have never seen the rare footage of his ROTY acceptance speech, and if you haven’t either you’ll be in for a treat. I’ve never seen Jordan so nervous in front of a crowd in my entire life.
