Hooped Up

Chauncey Billups, out since Feb. 6 after he torn his left Achilles’ tendon at Orlando, will play for the Clippers tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center, the Clippers said after the team’s shoot-around Wednesday.

Billups will start at shooting guard in place of Willie Green, who had been the starter. Billups had surgery on Feb. 15 and has been rehabilitating his injury since then. The 15-year veteran averaged 15 points and 4.0 assists in 20 games last season with the Clippers.
