Scola Takes Time For A Family Touched By Cancer

It’s a sad truth but, for all the good things some pro athletes do off the court. We too often measure them only by rings, wins and statistical information.

Houston Rockets fan Kaes Maish has been battling cancer for nearly 5 years and 8 months ago it had progressed to Stage 4 Leukemia. Rockets management caught wind of the story and invited Maish and his family to a preseason game to watched their favorite player Luis Scola do his thing from the best seats in the Toyota Center.

Unfortunately, the Rockets lost and Scola didn’t play due to the teams late night flight to China. However the Rockets still arranged for Kaes Maish and his family to meet Luis Scola.
