Mike Miller In, Michael Beasley Out

/

And the Heat keeps rising after the decision day circus. Within hours of LeBron James making the Miami Heat the team to beat in the east. Free agent sharpshooter and former Rookie of the Year Mike Miller agreed to sign a five-year $30 million deal to join them according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Last season Miller averaged 10.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game for the Washington Wizards.

As a result of that signing, the Heat traded mercurial swingman Michael Beasley to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a second-round pick to free up more cap space to pay Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James the maximum.

Last season Beasley averaged 14.8 points and 6.2 rebounds last season for the Heat.
