The Science Behind Being John Wall

When the draft goes down Thursday, expect John Wall to be selected with the first pick by the Washington Wizards. Straight up! I’ve seen him play a few times while at Kentucky, and to say he has mad skillz would be an understatement even with a (z) replacing the (s) at the end of skill. But when John Brenkus had him doing drills in the Sports Science Danger Room, then you really get to appreciate the athletic freak that is John Wall.

He’s faster than Chris Paul and Deron Williams, quicker than Kevin Durant with a ball handling handicap, owns a 39″ vertical leap and can do really fancy things with only 2.5% of his vision. The night he plays against Derrick Rose, I plan my whole day around watching that match up.

After the jump, witness the quickness of John Wall.
