LA Lakers ‘09-10 Season Preview
Hooped Up | October 27, 2009Another van glorious season of NBA basketball is about to begin and Hooped Up does a quick and dirty preview of all 30 clubs.
This summer, Rasheed Wallace said the Boston Celtics could win more than 72 games in the ‘09-10 season. Well, I’m thinking that if anybody in the league is going to win at least 70 games. It’s the Lakers.
A year after getting straight dissed by the Celtics in the finals, the Lakers got their ring and the bad news is that they have fingers for more. When you already have a stacked team it’s hard to make it even better, but that’s exactly what LA did. By signing Ron Artest to fill the void left by Trevor Ariza, the Lakers automatically went over the top with talent. Add to that Bynum getting better, the hunger of Kobe, the pow in Pau, the clutch of Fisher and the versatility of Lamar and this team will be very hard to beat.
Projected Starters: PG - Derek Fisher / SG - Kobe Bryant / SF - Ron Artest / PF - Pau Gasol / C - Andrew Bynum
Sixth Man: Lamar Odom
Key Reserves: Jordan Farmar, Luke Walton, Sasha Vujacic,
Projected Wins: 70
Team Theme Song: Jay-Z ft. Kanye West + Rihanna - Run This Town
If the NBA could be considered a town, the Lakers run it.

I think that Spurs will have the better boost from their acquisitions especially from A.McDyess and R.Jefferson. Maybe they do not win so much games in the regular season, but they will be a very strong team in the playoff if Duncan & company will stay healthy.
