LA Clippers ‘09-10 Season Preview

Hooped Up | October 27, 2009

Another van glorious season of NBA basketball is about to begin and Hooped Up does a quick and dirty preview of all 30 clubs.

The LA Clippers have been the NBA’s best D-League team for years because they’ve developed so much good talent for other teams over the years. With the drafting of Blake Griffin, that needs to stop.

These are the Clippers so I don’t want to gush about they’re young talent because stock piling high draft picks is just their thing, and it’s never really paid off. Blake Griffin should own the rookie of the year honors, Baron Davis should be — motivated, Eric Gordon will get his sharp shoot on and Camby will send shots back like cold food at a restaurant.

Wins will just not happen though, sorry Frankie Muniz.

Projected Starters: PG - Baron Davis / SG - Eric Gordon / SF - Al Thornton / PF - Blake Griffin / C - Marcus Camby

Sixth Man: Chris Kaman

Key Reserves: Mardy Collins, Ricky Davis, Rasual Butler, Sebastian Telfair

Projected Wins: 24

Team Theme Song: Diamond D – Sally Got a One Track Mind
Hopefully Blake Griffin can make Donald Sterling wake up and smell the blunt.
