Chicago Bulls ‘09-10 Season Preview
Hooped Up | October 24, 2009Another van glorious season of NBA basketball is about to begin and Hooped Up does a quick and dirty preview of all 30 clubs.
Ever since the Celtics got Kevin Garnett, Boston versus whoever in the first round of the playoffs has given the eventual loser of the series hope. After the Bulls took the Celtics to multiple overtimes and eventually took an L in game 7. Optimism in Chi-Town about their ball club hasn’t been this high since Michael Jordan played.
Derrick Rose had a Rookie of the Year season and a spectacular coming out party in the playoffs. Recording 36 points, 11 assists and 4 rebounds in his fist playoff game. The 36 points tied Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA record for points scored by a rookie in his playoff debut, that’s some good company. Since Rose is on the come up, John Salmons proved he can score and Luol Deng when health is a force. The lose of Ben Gordon will be okay offensively. Defensively, Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas and Brad Miler will block a lot of shots, to cover up defensive gaps on the perimeter.
Chicago basketball is finally back for real this time.
