Grizzlies Give Marcus Williams A Shot

You remember Marcus Williams right??? He was the UConn point guard that had a great NCAA tournament back in 2006, was drafted by the New Jersey Nets that same year 22nd overall, then was traded to Golden State two years later and was hated out of the league in 2009 by Nellie.

Anyway, don’t feel bad for forgetting about this dude because 28 other teams did too. That was until the Memphis Grizzlies made it 27 teams, and threw Williams a one-year $855,189 life line offering him a contract to play in the NBA again.

Apparently, Williams was playing for Quebradillas Pirates in the Puerto Rican League were he lead the league in assist and was selected to play in the league’s All-star game and won the game’s MVP award.

I finished second in both assist and the MVP race. If you don’t believe me, Google it on one of the fine pre-loved laptops Williams sold you back in the day.

Welcome back to the L kiddo!
