LeBron Is The King Of MSG
Hooped Up | February 6, 2009
The NBA schedule has been a cruel mistress for the Knicks and while HU was down, King James topped the Kobe Bryant 61 point, (0 rebound) performance at the Garden with a 52 points, 11 assists, 10 rebound night of his own in a 107 – 102 Cavaliers win Wednesday.
While Kobe Bryant broke Jordan’s scoring MSG record set 14 years ago. LeBron James became the first player since Abdul-Jabbar in 1975 to have a triple-double in a 50-point game. Impressive – kinda!
So just think. If LeBron wasn’t so bogged down with playing a complete game, he probably would have dropped 65 on the Knicks.
Tonight the cruel mistress brings the Celtics to NYC and a record of some kinda will fall.
