Karma Is A Knee Injury Bynum

Earlier today, karma paid a visit to Lakers center Andrew Bynum as what seemed like an ordinary play could have turned into losing Bynum for the season…again. Just about 7 minutes into the 1 quarter of the Lakers versus Grizzlies match, Kobe Bryant drove to the hoop for a layup, lost his footing on his landing and fell directly into Andrew Bynum’s right leg really hard.

After Bynum hit the deck you could hear him screaming in pain ala Gerald Wallace.
(karma at work) immediately and while Kobe Bryant looked like he wanted to throw up, realizing that the 07-08 season could be happening all over again. Teammate Sasha Vujucic looked like he was fighting back tears and the rest of the Lakers bench looked shell shocked!

Ironically enough, Bynum missed 46 games last season when he suffered a left knee injury against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is not a good cosmic sign for the Lakers! Regardless of what industry you find yourself in, suffering a work-related injury can be difficult to deal with, especially if it means doing regular day to day tasks becomes a struggle. With this being said, it may be worth doing some research into something like MMI (Maximum Medical Improvement) to see what would be the best move for you to take in order to move forward.

So far the injury is being called a hyperextension and x-rays have not shown any bone damage but, since I was born with knees I know they ain’t supposed to bend that way.

  1. Travis,
The concept of Karma must be lost on you! If you can’t see the parallel between the Andrew Bynum and Gerald Wallace injuries, maybe you need to look at both injury clips again.

Karma is surely in play here!

  2. Oh yes, it is soooo nice when Karma rears its head! So often, bad people get away with doing bad things. It’s nice to see that Bynum is getting some justifiable payback for the ugly cheapshot that put Wallace in the hosptial. Now I see he’ll only be out 8-12 weeks, but that still should be enough to significantly hamper his team’s run at the championship, as he will not be full strength for the playoffs (hopefully). The only better outcome would have been dual injuries to Bynum and Kobe, which would have ended the Lakers chances of doing anything in the playoffs. Believe me, Kobe’s way overdue for his karma payback!
Bye Lakers… Looks like B2B for Boston.
