Iverson Fined $25K

This Detroit – Iverson thing can’t be going the way that GM Joe Dumars or Allen Iverson envisioned in the beginning.

“Allen Iverson of the Detroit Pistons has been fined $25,000 for directing inappropriate language towards a fan, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

Iverson made his comments to the fan with 6.2 seconds remaining in the 3rd period during the Pistons’ 90-86 win over the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, Dec. 13.”

  1. Allen Iverson is frustrated he spent 10 + seasons in Philadelphia and now the last 2 3/4 seasons he’s been on 2 teams. A.I. has one of those NBA legacy’s that will be defined by his attitude and selfish percieved actions. Iverson will have a stronger legacy as the most influential player during the 1st 25 years (1984-2009) of the basketball and hip-hop culture fusion that is known now as The “Dunkadelic-Era” In America, 1984-Present. No other player has personified the cultural collaboration more-so than Iverson. He may never win a Championship, but Allen Iverson will be remembered as the player that brought the hip-hop culture to the front-row of the NBA.
