Bynum Wants $17 Million A Year

Bynum had a pretty good season last year before it ended in injury, but was it  $17 million a year good?  Well,  Bynum and his 10% of all earnings agent David Lee sure think so.  If for some crazy reason Bynum gets 17 million samolians from the Lakers, look for a free agent Kobe Bryant to be somewhere else in 2010.  I hear Italy is pretty nice…

“Lee is seeking a five-year extension for his client worth an estimated $17 million a year, while the Lakers are more comfortable paying Bynum about $10 million a year, possibly with incentives for All-Star appearances and team playoff success. As per terms of the collective-bargaining agreement, teams can only offer incentives that move an annual salary upward. Bynum could not be penalized financially for missing games because of injuries.”
