Plot: J.D. sits on a box in an empty apartment and wonders how it got there.

Best Moment: J.D. makes a scheme to make everyone believe he’s good at basketball but hits the ball against the board and hits his own head.

4. The Office – Basketball


Plot: The office staff play a basketball game against the warehouse workers in which Jim shows off to impress Pam and upstage her fiancé who is on the opposing team.

Best Moment: Stanley Hudson dribbling like an 8 year old girl named Mildred with ringlets.

3. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air – Courting Disaster


Plot: Will joins the school basketball team with Carlton already on it. Will becomes the star of the team and Carlton becomes jealous and the competition between the two starts.

Best moment: Carlton decides to steal the ball from Will and take the game winning shot.

2. Chapelle’s Show - Prince: Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories

 
Plot: Charlie Murphy’s recounts his run in with Prince (played by Dave Chapelle) at a night club that leads to Prince inviting Charlie and his crew over to his house to hang out, play basketball then eat pancakes together.

Best moment: Prince reverse dunking and says “Game, blouses.”

1. The Boondocks – Ballin’


Plot: Riley joins Tom’s youth basketball team and discovers the benefits of practice and team play. He also learns how to cope with humiliation and the agony of defeat.

Best moment: Riley’s entire dream sequence makes me laugh 10 out of 10 times!
