LaFrentz Likely Out Most Of Season

Raef LaFrentz can’t catch a break these days.

“Raef LaFrentz, a seldom-used forward for the Trail Blazers, will likely miss the majority of this season, the team learned Friday, after it was determined he will need surgery on his right shoulder. This will be the 11th NBA season for LaFrentz, who has played sparingly in Portland since being traded from Boston on the night of the 2006 NBA draft. In two seasons, LaFrentz has played in 63 games, including 39 last season when he averaged 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in just more than seven minutes a game. LaFrentz, 32, is in the last year of his contract, which will pay him $12.75 million.”
