Knicks Signed Randolph Morris

Hooped Up | March 26, 2007

The New York Knicks signed free-agent centre Randolph Morris to a two-year contract Friday, adding the former Kentucky star to their roster thanks to an unusual provision in the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement.Morris, the Wildcats’ leading scorer this season, declared himself eligible for the 2005 draft following his freshman year but was not selected. He decided to return to school and played two more seasons.

Due to a condition in the CBA, Morris was not eligible to re-enter another draft. He had free-agent status throughout his junior season but decided to play out the year with the Wildcats, who were eliminated in the NCAA tournament last weekend by Kansas.

Good Move Randolph! I don’t usually encourage players being so anxious to move on to the NBA BUT with the circumstances at Kentucky, I understand.

Morris, you are a complete idiot to go to the NBA. You are not talented enough to go to the NBA. What makes you think that you will be able to play pro ball when you can’t even play college ball? What were you thinking. all you do is stand on the court during the games, posing for pitures. You can’t play ball! You made a BIG mistake going to the NBA. Morris will end up getting sopme MASSIVE blisters on his butt from sitting on the bench during all the games because the coach won’t let him play because he stinks!! Morris is WAY too OVERATED, and he will realize that soon, well we hope.
