Utah forward Andrei Kirilenko sprained his right ankle late in the second quarter of the Jazz’s game against Denver on Friday night.Kirilenko was going for a block on Denver’s Marcus Camby and rolled his ankle when both players landed under the basket with 2:42 left in the second quarter.
Kirilenko, who was called for a foul, stayed down for a few minutes before getting up and limping toward the bench. He hopped on his left foot once he reached the tunnel and the Jazz said at halftime that he would not return.
Kirilenko finished with seven points, four assists and a block.
Kirilenko missed five games earlier this season when he sprained the same ankle.
