Isiah Thomas hinted for the first time yesterday that forward Jared Jeffries could be in danger of losing his starting job.
“He definitely has to play a little better than what he’s been playing,” Thomas said. “We’ll stick with him and hopefully he’ll come out of it. If not, we have some guys on the bench that are eager to play. But we’ll stick with him right now.”
Jeffries was benched in the first quarter of the last two games and failed to score in either game. He is also getting booed at home as the fans continue to clamor for David Lee to start.
“I’m going to get this right,” Jeffries said.
